Description
The Ducks main plan: Keep doing what they are doing
I can safely say that the Ducks are going in the right direction but are still a year or two seasons away from actual contention. Keep letting the kids produce and get Fantilli accumulated to the system. The Ducks do have to address their d-core by the start to next season.

Strengths: Centre depth, Prospects, Cap Flexibility
Weaknesses: LD and RD, Scoring issues (The prospects can help with this if they actually develop well)

Off-season: I don’t think the Ducks will really trade many of their players. Well, at least during the off-season. I think their main focus will be to sign a defender who produces well. They’ll have to resign Terry and Zegras before July 1st. If they don’t, the Ducks are in deep sh*t. Should the Ducks trade Gibson. I don’t think so. Keep him around a few more years and see how he is once they get a solid defender. I don’t know if they can sign a defender this year but, drafting Fantilli will help with the goal scoring and will probably give this team a bit of a jump next season.

Prediction: 7th in the Pacific with 67PTS.

Credit: KDev inspired me to use these categories in my ACGM. All credit goes to him.

I know that Ducks fans are perfectly content with not changing from the plan, but man this is a slow and painful rebuild. Seems like they'll never exit it...

I think they should start to make some subtle and mid tier buys to support the growth of their younger players rather than relying on player development alone.

Move Henrique, flip his return for a better dman and sign either a top 6 winger or a middle six defensive guy.

I have a high feeling that they’ll flip Henrique at the deadline. Get some picks and a prospect and possibly a B- player. Flip that return for an actual good defender at next years draft.
