My Thoughts On How To Handle These Players

Team just resigned him for 2 years (a decision I know annoyed some people),so he's obviously not going anywhere. What he brings is obvious. He's a physical player whose first, second, and third job is to be a deterrent and protect the guys in the lineup that can't really do it for themselves. Imo, should really only be in the lineup on a situational basis because he really provides nothing, even as a 4th liner other than that one thing.

I don't really see Bean having a place on this team past this season. RD is absolutely chock-full and with Werenski/Provorov there's only the 3LD spot left. Bean hasn't shown enough in his 2 years to keep around and I thunk Blankenburg is a better player anyway. If you can get a mid round pick for him, awesome. If not, just have him as a rotational guy in the lineup and left him walk next offseason.

I haven't seen anything from Foudy the past couple years to inspire confidence that he can be an NHL regular. As far as I'm concerned, his time is up. Put him in the AHL, maybe there's a chance he shows something, but I wouldn't expect it.

Danforth seems to be often forgotten since ehe was hurt all of last year, but he should be a lock for the lineup. He can play wherever they need filled and should 100% be playing over a guy like Robinson imo.

If Fantilli plays in the NHL this year, I really don't know if there will be room for Roslovic. There's some wiggle room in the lineup of course (Jenner at W or C, Sillinger in the AHL or NHL), but I don't really see Roslovic having a big role. Maybe at the start of the year, but he should definitely be moved by the TDL imo. He won't be resigned, so at least get a mid round pick for him with retention if needed.

Both of these guys are in the same boat for me, though they are wildly different players. I'm really not sure either have a long term place on the team. Starting in 24-25 RD 1 and 2 will definitely be Jiricek and Severson. By that point you still have 2 years left on Grubranson.

Now, maybe you get out of Grubrandson next year or the year after, but even then you have these 2 guys for 1 spot plus prospects in the works. Both have team control and are on reasonable deals so there really shouldn't be any rush to move them. Be patient, let things play our, and eventually an offer worth moving one or both will come along. I think you try and flip one by the TDL this year and then hold the other, seeing if a deal too good to pass up comes along or you just ride it out as a 3rd pairing guy.

Personally, I'd look to get a worthwhile offer for Peeke between now and the TDL (preferably before the season starts) and then play Boqvist as 3RD and a PP2 guy this season.

Bemstrom is toi good for thr AHL, but I really don't think he's ever going to br a productive NHL player without playing in the top 6. That's never going to happen in Columbus and there's better options for bottom 6 roles.

I would also be totally fine just keeping him in Cleveland putting up a PPG in the minors, but I think it'd be fair to acknowledge the situation and give him a shot with another team. Find somewhere with a hole in the top 6 who is in a position to try him out there (or at least 3rd line). Maybe get a mid round pick, if not a 5th or 6th is fine imo. I just don't ever see him catching on in Columbus, but I think there's a chance he could with a change of scenery.
