I don't think it will be a 4 player deal when its all said and done.

I don't see how Washington could do it now without sending out either the Mantha/NAK/Fehervary combo or Kuzy/NAK/pick. Lapierre is still a prospect too so it would only be 3 roster players

Mantha has negative value
Aube-Kubel has no value
Fehervary is meh
Lapierre is a decent prospect

There's absolutely no way you're getting DeBrincat for that offer, And fat chance of DeBrincat only taking 3 years from a team that's heading for major decline.

This gives Ottawa nothing that replaces DeBrincat's talent.

Mantha is mediocre, and has major injury concerns. He doesn't replace him short term, and he's absolutely not someone you extend. NAK is a fringe 4th liner, Fehervary is a quality DFD, but he's a 3rd pairing guy on an Ottawa team with one of the best LD sides in the league (probably THE best ). Lapierre is a solid prospect, but he's probably a 3rd liner, not a 2nd liner imo.
