Description
If no other moves are really made via FA, I could see something like this for opening night. Roslovic could be moved if a team gets an injury to a player but as of now he likely will be on the team.

Johnson to me needs to start his transition to C. Boone can be on his wing to mentor but the Jackets need to see if he can be a C before next summer bc if he can’t the team needs to plan accordingly.

In agreement with your breakdown. Knowing whether KJ is gonna be able to play center or if he'll be a wing is really important to figure out, if possible, this season. Getting Boone back onto the wing is gonna be a really good consequence of that too if it happens. Only tough part is that idk if it's a good idea to try and just slot Fantilli into that 1C spot right away, so maybe you have Boone there to start the year at least and if all goes well you can transition those players to the spots you have them in a few months into the season? Same idea for maybe starting Sillinger in the AHL for a bit, though that's not as big of a concern for me.

I like moving Robinson. There's just too many guys in the bottom 6 and he's the odd man out imo. They just resigned Olivier, so he's gonna be here this year (as the extra skater who plays situationally imo). Tex is basically a lock, and Danforth clears Robinson by a lot with what he provides on the ice imo. Between Voronkov and Robinson, Voronkov should absolutely be playing. We know what Robinson is, Voronkov may actually be more than that, so finding that out is important.

On the blue line, 2 things I'd say
First, Grubrandson is unfortunately gonna be in the lineup for better or worse. You probably know that so not a problem since we all would prefer it that way.
I personally would play Blankenburg over Bean though. I haven't seen enough from Bean to warrant him being in Columbus past this season and I think you get more out of Blankenburg in the lineup short term, so I'd opt to play him.

On the first comment, the Jackets should have no issues putting Fantilli on the 1st line. He is a late birthday. He is essentially following the PLD path. PLD was 17 when he was drafted. He needed that extra year in the Q for him to get physically stronger. Fantilli has already played against older players and dominated. He is already 18 and will be 19 in November. He is a year ahead of the other players from the draft.

Jarmo has waited patiently for Voronkov. I can almost guarantee he will be in the lineup opening night. His pure size and his experience playing against older men gives him the same type of transition that Gavy and Marchenko have had. E-Rob is a good player but the Jackets need to get Voronkov into the lineup and there is no way neither Danforth or Kuraly are getting moved.

As far as Gudbranson is concerned, I don’t think the Jackets will have any problem playing him as a 7 defenseman. Due to the amount of defensemen on the roster. Remember, the Jackets will still need to make room for Jiricek at some point this season. The Jackets need to ice the best team each night. I can see some swapping in and out of the lineup with Peeke and at times Boqvist, depending on the opponent.
