Zito has been quite busy - My thoughts

We needed a LHD, Zito signed 4 lmao.

I'd assume OEL and Mikkola are here to stay but with Ekblad and Montour out all 3 of Kulikov, Mahura and Reilly get to play and fight for the 6th D spot. After Ekky and Monty are back I'd assume Florida puts one of the three on waivers and keeps one as a scratch and one as their 6th D.

Season starting pairs could look like this with Montour & Ekblad out

Forsling - Ekman-Larsson
Mikkola - Mahura
Reilly - Benning

Rough... But hopefully they can get Ekky and Monty back quick.

I don't really understand what is up with the Stolarz signing, though. Stolarz would be a great cheap backup option if that was a problem but we have Knight and Bob signed for the next 3 years on expensive deals. The plan is to have Knight start in the AHL, I guess? Probably good for his confidence but the contract looks rough if he's in the minors.

Zito gave Denisenko a one-way deal so I'd presume the plan is to have him stay in the NHL. Would defnitely save on cap to have him on the roster.

Looooove the Rodrigues signing, great two-way right handed player and the contract is great value.
Loved Duke as a person but he was really one dimensional and inconsistent so I don't mind the deal, Lorentz is a fine 4th liner. Take good care of him Sharks, he is a saint.

This team should be a play-off team and hopefully OEL can bounce back, loved his attitude when he interviewed with Zito. Florida actually has some cap space come TDL time so they can look into fixing whatever the biggest problem is then. Probably a top 9 forward or a better LHD if either Denisenko or OEL don't work out.
