Description
Goal of this three team trade is to entice the GMs of the retaining teams with low percentages. Nashville sends Barrie to San Jose and receives Petry from Pittsburgh. OK with sending Blomqvist to San Jose with Jarry being only 28 and signed on for five more seasons. Might be OK if the ask is Pickering instead.

Granlund is ultimately bought out during the second buyout window created with the O'Connor arbitration.

DeSmith is placed on waivers and is claimed by Vancouver to strengthen their goalie depth.

Suter is signed to play 4C and the fourth could be a sneaky offensive line with the third line being the shutdown line.

    If Nashville is using a retention slot on EK, giving up Barrie, and taking back Petry's contract we're gonna need a bit more than that.

    Yeah, I'm just wondering how Dubas and Grier meet in the middle. Seems like retention is a big sticking point for Grier.

    They can do a 22 man roster with around $3M left and DeSmith would be an upgraded backup but yeah, I get not wanting to allocate to that position.
