Why in the world would you make this trade as a Ducks fan

Big fan of Moldenhauer, go blue. Liljegren gives right side depth the Ducks need. Ducks get a first in the 20s (lets be real, the Leafs are never winnings a cup).

No reason for us to eat Murray’s contract (6 million owed in real money) for anything less than swapping a 1 and a 3 in the process

No reason for us to trade Lundy for anything less than a 1st

Tracey and a 2nd easily gets Liljegren but I wouldn’t do both for him — I’d do one or the other

We are giving up a lot of value for much less coming back

I'm not a fan of this one. Now that we have Radko Gudas signed up, our desperation for RhD is somewhat alleviated, and although Lundestrom for Liljegren is probably close on value, I don't see a need to sacrifice the guy we have pencilled in for #3C for him. But that part of the exchange isn't the dealbreaker. Tracey is a better prospect than Moldenhauer, and Murray and the first for our second doesn't light my fire, either. I'd turn this offer down as the Anaheim GM.
