Boo, if you're signing Drai to that 8 x $8M, he better be that point/game 2nd line center because it's a huge overpayment to a guy who's one real solid year primarily came from riding shotgun with McDavid. That then says that you have to move RNH and hope to bring back another game changer at a much lower cap hit!

Yah 8 mill is pretty well in the wheel house for what he has shown, and the narrative he only gets points from leeching off McDavid is old. Point totals are not the only thing he brings to the team and he has progressed every year since his rookie season. Wish the oil could sign him for 6-6.5m... and CMD for 9.7m.. reality is thats not an option. And there are no PPG 2nd line centers.. who would accept a new contract for 8m.
