Leafs Fans please realize Penguins do not have the cap space to take on your cap dumps to help you get cap compliant. Until an EK65 deal is in place and Pens know exactly what they have and what they can part ways with no deal between the Leafs and Pens will take place. Additionally, not exactly sold on Jarnkrok. Timmons maybe after a EK trade happens.

Also you would still be over cap because you are missing 2,000,000 in LTIR cap space on Murray's contract

Timmins - I’ve seen pens fans trade for him and figured there’d be interest

Jarnkrok - figure he could be a viable replacement if the Pens buyout or move on from Granlund. 20 goals last year and very versatile player.

Not that inconceivable. And to be honest I know some team will take both of them, for the purpose of my ACGM I dont really care if that team is the Pens.

These players are not at all “cap dumps”, many teams would want them.

Cap dump may not be the right word, but cap casualty is, and right now Pens do not have the space to take these on.

Also, still doesn't solve that Leafs are missing 2,000,000 in LTIR space which would then go back to their cap.

Not familiar with that, what do you mean? Doesnt murray’s full cap hit get absorbed by LTIR?

No, LTIR space is a complicated calculation.... the basics here The league upper limit is $69M. A team has an averaged club salary of $68M and a player with a 35+ contract with an AAV of $5M ($3M cap hit and $2M in performance bonuses) becomes injured and the team places him on LTIR.
The LTIR relief pools are calculated as follows:
AAV of LTIR player is $5M
Cap space = $69M - $68M = $1M
ACSL = $69M - $1M = $68M
LTIR relief:
Base salary relief pool: $3M
Performance bonus pool: $2M
Once the team operates above $68M, they have $3M in salary relief, and $2M in performance bonus relief pools.

Based on this according to CF main page Toronto is 2 mil over the LTIR Limit
