Description

Do you think this trade is fair for both teams? I mean, Montreal gets their 1C without trading Pacioretty nor Price. The Islanders get one of the best young forwards in the league who had a 30 goal season 2 years ago. They get Charlie Lindgren, a promising backup goalie who could even become a starter, Noah Juulsen, a good defensive prospect, Michael McCarron, who can turn into a solid 3C and finally a 1st round pick in one of the best drafts in recent draft history. If we manage to re-sign Tavares, then that trade will be fair. However, if he doesn't resign with us, then there's no point in making this trade.

It has to be a sign and trade to make sure MTL just doesn't give away all their best assets for 1 year of Tavares.
