really interesting. i think that the canes pass on this one just bc the rd position is going to be weak. but boeser would be a really good fit in carolina. you are retaining some money too.

Interesting idea. Retention on Boes is brutal though.

Boeser isn’t the piece to with little picks coming back and a Pesce extension

Canes decline this prob; maybe upgrade the picks or add a decent prospect to even it out

This doesn't work as a base because Boeser didn't fit the Canes system. His one trick is his shot, but he's defensively tragic, he's not great as a skater, and his playmaking is fine but not special. He's a middle six winger with a great shot. Carolina could do so much better elsewhere. And if Pesce was signing an extension like that, Carolina would have done it already. He wants max term and north of seven
