And ignoring what Anaheim would want in the trade, apparently. The ghost of Panarin doesn't help our rebuild.

Ghost if panarin lmao dude is a consistent 90 point player. Also anaheim flips panarin with retention and gets a haul for him

Or we just decline the trade, which we would. Panarin is 32 next month, the likelihood that he maintains this level of play through the end of his contract is slim. "just retain and flip him for a haul" and have 5+ million in dead cap for the next three seasons? Pass.

You want Zegras? Cough up blue chip young assets, not an aging star on the back 9 of a massive contract.

Lmao you act like anaheim is going to be good for the next 3 years. Nobody is going to pay what you want for zegras when he's a flashy average player who can't play a 200 foot game.

Even less reason to help New York out of their cap problems by taking on a player who won't still be here when we're "good"

No one wants to pay us what we want for Zegras? Cool, we'll just keep him then, that's the entire point of RFAs.

This was a **** offer and you know it, quit trying to defend it like it somehow helps Anaheim in any way.
