Need to add 1 piece at a time & not disturb the chemistry & total buy in. Also cap balance is necessary with OEL dead cap being more & more a problem future wise.

IMHO a top 4 RHD be the best get even if at a high price starting with the 1st pick. Pesce I’m fixated on or a young D like Iorio or Morrow or Chesney. Pesce more suitable for the now the others could be better longterm. None will come cheap. Willander in the wings that can start out 3rd pairing insulated minutes in a year or 2 at soonest. That leads me to lean towards Pesce or similar strong defensive top 4 D.

Feel free to offer up your ideas that are not Bear. Or Tanev unless not an overpay. I can wait til Pesce is healed up & ready for the push.

Carolina isn't trading Pesce now, That would've been over the summer. Pesce i seriously doubt waives for any Canadian team. And good luck giving both Hronek and Pesce $7,000,000 each on top of Pettersson's nearly $12,000,000 x 8.

In the off-season you might have a chance but mid season with Carolina looking to go deep in the playoffs seems far fetched.

But yea you guys look good and take care of Kuzmenko or I hope the sharks pry him away from you guys!
