I don’t understand this notion of sharks fans (or not) and the idea of declining a first + a 2nd + a former first. It’s not trying to be rude towards you, I just truly don’t get it at all.

You pray that the Pens miss but aren’t top 11 and you hope to select Zayne Parekh (or draft up, which having EDM first or another first helps you tremendously)

hope the hockey gods/ lottery allows to select Celebrini and not CHI, then you collect more assets to accelerate your rebuild.

Holloway is a waste, a first a quality draft/ any draft is valuable if you hit, and a 2nd is solid.

Can you outline why SJS is better off not taking on Campbell for a 1st, Holloway, 2nd (we can disregard Rutta and other assets). Because I guarantee no fan can provide a valid argument to why SJS should not accept.

Labanc is guaranteed gone, the other 4 are highly likely trade bait and gone either way. I’ve literally got a draft where I trade for Weber and have Vlasic as a HS just so I can make the cap floor and I did not make any trades that matter.

Campbell firstly isn’t a Vlasic contender for brutal buyouts (Vlasics buyout for the last two seasons is the only reason why is still in the NHL). Campbell as a buyout isn’t brutal. So if SJS doesn’t accept this proposed offer.. EDM will just ride it out.

So your suggesting, a tanking team who’s bad, doesn’t need cap space because they have a ton - not utilize their cap space to receive multiple high round picks and a former first round pick because….??

Sorry, that just makes zero sense to me and seems stubborn if Grier declines first + former first + a second.
