Description

Objective: Move out some pending UFAs. Add some youth. Stay somewhat competitive.

I think this is a route that they will go.

Vrana trade is to anyone - Wasn't sure of a good fit for him as I think it'll be a deadline deal or a team that is competing that loses a scorer and needs to add some back into the lineup. Cheap flyer.

Last two roster spots for forwards that either are waiver guys/reclamation projects or AHL callups. Thought of Walker and Gaudette, don't know how much the organization will care about taking the teams top 2 scorers though to be depth players.

Now that I think about it, i'm not sure the 1st trade would work anyways. Scandella has a 7 team NTC. Can imagine which 7 teams are on the list. With that being said, with the Blues somehow in a playoff spot i'm not sure if Scandella would accept something to Canada.

Taking that out of the equation. The reasoning for sending Scandella to Edmonton was the return from there fit in better with what i was trying to do versus just sending him somewhere at the deadline for a pick only. I'd imagine that would be what Toronto would have to offer.

Yes because McLeod has been helping them win games and Broberg wants to be there.

And man it’s brutal to ask for a 5th and 7th for a veteran PKer that plays with an edge and has championship experience.
