Boston declines. Both Zacha and Coyle are on pace for more points than him. He doesn't move the needle anymore and definitely isn't worth that.

CGY would take it... a change of scenery would do wonders for Lindholm

you know Coyle isn't gonna produce at this pace all season nor next season. Lindholm is younger and would bump AND Zacha to a better position (left wing) AND Coyle to a better position (2nd or 3rd center depending on Poitras' play)

If you believe the following, a trade of this magnitude doesn’t make sense

1. Lindholm or an equivalent player will be available in free agency

2. Boston will be an attractive option for a free agent with their cap room available

3. Lindholm isn’t the last piece of the puzzle to win a championship.

For me, this is a reset year and I believe that with Lindholm’a current play, he’s more likely to be a rental acquisition vs not (making free agency a strong possibility)

I’m not minimizing Lindholm. Him or Hanifin are among my top choices. If he’s available for Lysell, a #2, and DeBrusk … great. For this price, I pass. My assumption is that Calgary can get better than Lysell, a #2, and DeBrusk (while retaining a retention slot)

Would rather trade for/ sign Novak compared to Lindholm…
