Flyers pass on this one easily. Borgault and a #1 are not enough for the teams best player. Minimum 2 1st rounders and a top prospect. They have enough RWs in the system already.

Flames won’t be retaining for this offer, especially if we’re taking Ceci back, and likely ask for a better Prospect or another pick instead of Lavoie, like Broberg or Bourgeault

Let me see if I understand this...

Calgary eats 50% on Tanev, eat Ceci's ****ty contract and only get a 2nd and an NHL/AHL tweener? On what planet does this make any sense for Calgary?

If you want Tanev, think 2nd + a decent prospect, if you want him retained think closer to a 1st and if you want to dump Ceci then keep adding, especially since he's got term. To trade Tanev @ 50%, and eat the ****ty Ceci contract, think a 1st and Hallowell or Broberg
