WTF are you talking about?... A 1st would do it. Ceci has another year, Holloway is taking a big step and worth keeping as a cheap replacement who can play up the lineup next season. The kid could be a top 6 NHLer in a couple years. Who are you watching?
Ceci + 1st + 6th is an overpay!

Needs to be a 1st for Tarasenko with retention, he's one of the best forwards available - if you can only give a 2nd then the prospect needs to be much better (your 2nd round pick will be like 60th overall)

I'd consider the 2nd with Holloway, otherwise you offer easily gets beat.



Ceci having one more year is does not add to his value, it lowers it. He's a straight cap dump, so while a 1st and a 6th may (probably not) get Tanev, adding Ceci drops that value.

That's a trash opinion! Tanev @ 50% retained for a 1st straight up is his peak! Adding a replacement that CGY could flip next TDL or sooner is Fn ludacris. Ceci & the 6th is completely unnecessary. Add a conditional 2025 3rd if they win the cup, nothing more!

I'm aware he has 1 more year, he would 100% be a cap dump, exactly why we don't want him. It's not enough to trade with Edmonton period. I agree Holloway has potential exactly why he needs to be included to make this happen. Edmonton is no good.
