I personally don't believe the leafs should push all their chips into the middle this trade deadline. But if they did, and had no hesitation to lose both 1sts and some prospects for this playoff run, this is what they could do.

The theme: sell high. All these pieces the leafs are letting go of are at all time highs in trade value.

Bobby McMann's value is never going to be higher, might as well leverage him in a deal now. I think he's having a magical couple weeks, but there will be a market correction on ole' bobby.

I also believe Easton Cowan is Nic Robertson 2.0, such similar players (size, skill, position), but if you're in a win now mode, you hold onto the more experienced player in Robertson, and capitalize on Cowan's value right now as he's currently on a crazy point streak in the OHL.

Samsonov has also stabilized to the point where he can be taken on by Nashville with some level of confidence that he can play tandem minutes.
I trust Saros far more than Sammy in the playoffs, I still think Samsonov's head isn't fully healed.
