For one, that wouldn't get Buchenevich as Armstrong would need an overpayment to trade him now. Secondly, Drury could potentially extend Guentzel. Third, Dubas would probably need an overpayment to trade Guentzel within the division so doubt this would get it done.

1. Imean that's fine, we don't really need him
2. He cannot unless he moves a substantial bit of salary, Like Trouba or Mika. And extending Lindgren is out of the question. So it's honestly probably not happening.
3. Also again, not worth the cost. But realistically there's probably no way Pitt gets back appropriate value for Guentzel regardless of where he goes.

I agree on that if Dubas isn't taking back all futures. Futures can go boom and end up worth it. I heard the same thing about how Jordan Staal trade would never break even and it did because of Dumoulin who was largely a throw in at the time. But I do agree, trying to get young roster players for a top line player is a fool's errand. Take futures and cap space or it will be a big loss.
