Look at what Hanifin got. He is a lot better then Parayko. Fraser it a top prospect for the Leafs, Topi is our number 1 D prospect and a 1st is a 1st. It's probably brodie, Topi and a 3rd for Parayko and a 1st and Minten for Buch

Again look at all the prices set at the TDL. Not one top prospect has been traded and no more than one first. Here you get 2 top prospects and a 1st

Then don't ask for Parayko. We can't replace him. You can't replace him in UFA. Niemela can't replace him. If you don't like the player, you probably don't like the contract, it doesn't mean he should come at a discount to you without considering what it would do to the other team.

The Leafs prospect pool isn't really that strong at the top. Those two may be your best forward and defensive prospect. But Minten would probably be the Blues 5th best prospect, and frankly he's at the position of virtually zero need within the system. Doesn't mean I wouldn't put a value on him or like to have him, I just wouldn't piece apart the roster to do it. Niemela is the Leafs best d prospect sure, but from the outside looking in he's not terribly attractive.

You're asking us to trade a 24 minute a night shutdown defenseman who is our best defenseman and puts up adequate points, and a ppg player, both with term. That's a full teardown move. I would hope Armstrong wouldn't consider something like this without a Grade A piece coming back.
