Description
1. Sell high on MP and do not lose him for cheap at the next deadline.

2. Jarry is not a problem and the casuals who want him to be a problem are beyond annoying. He also has had a good enough season that I believe he could be moved in a situation where we have to take back a goalie with cap. Seattle needs goaltending and we could use a few more young forwards.

tbh Pittsburgh loses first two trades. Gurbauer costs a 1st to dump and Jarry probably worth Kartye + 2nd or 3rd IMO (depending on how u value him).

Pettersson is a stud, worth a 1st alone without retention

I like getting a first to replace your own from next season but probably better off trying to get that pick back if possible, which I doubt

I think that this is an excellent strategy. In particular, moving Pettersson for futures is a very good idea if it can be done now (i.e., this off-season) -- his value will decrease as the 2025 trade deadline approaches.

Just a thought: the cap space you have plus Blomqvist's hit might be enough to re-sign Nedeljkovic, if you want him back.

I’d rather give Blomqvist time next year because he’s been arguably the best goalie in the AHL this season.
OldNYIfan liked this.
