Description

Where do we realistically see the Jets draft pick end up, the Jets can potentially be a WC team . Jets currently have 96 points, Preds are WC1 with 90 points, Kings are in WC2 with 89 points. The Preds, Kings, Bolts, Leafs and Knights all have a significantly easier schedule (all 17th hardest or lower) than the Jets (6th hardest). Making up 7 points when facing 4+ teams near the bottom of the standings shouldn't be too difficult for any of the 5 teams chasing them. Making that Jets pick in the 17-20 OVA range. Is it unreasonable to think Habs could enter the draft with 2 top 20 picks? IMO it is more likely at this stage then not.

Why? Moving back 5-9 spots for a top 4 RHD prospect worth a late 1st to early 2nd isn't a stupid move. It only cost the Yotes 2 2nds to move up to 11th 2 or 3 years ago.

Bc those 5-9 spots likely cause you a top pairing ceiling dman. The sharks have tons in the pool to cover middle and bottom pair. You want to give a top pairing ceiling guy to move up, then sure. Not a middle pairing which we are good on (Ferraro and Muk).
