Lindholm

With the way Lindholm's game has fallen off recently, I wonder if even shorter term than 5 years could get it done. Teams that do their due diligence will see the risk with him, but there is definitely a fit for him with the Blues. They need more responsible two-way play from the forwards. I just don't want to see another long-term contract on a guy that may be falling off or not a true difference maker. Might be a good time for Doug to throw a big AAV, short term offer.

Yeah even like 8.5m x 2 - they could afford the cap and it solves the short term 2C issue. Now the player may not have any interest and that's fine too, I just don't think now is the time for another long deal.

I like the idea of grabbing Lindholm at a high AAV and low term, but I am unsure that Skjei is the best target for L1. Parayko needs a stay at home defensmen in my opinion. There would also be a bump in his TOI.
