I'd probably have Pusty in there for one of the other young guys - but that's maybe just personal preference. Overall I think it's a solid lineup, and fairly realistic too

There are a lot of ways that can go. They could try to get someone like Lee from the NYI as they want to cut cap, and it's a 1 or 2 year deal.
They could sign Teräväinen
If Yager can play and they don't want to put him at center year one they could put him on Sids wing.
I just don't think signing Jake to that kind of contract is a long term solutoin for this team. More years of that contract will be either wasted or bad than good.
The cap hit will carry over till when they are realy to crank out a rebuild. I'm not sure that works for the team.
If they start a rebuild in 3 years, you still got 4 more years of jake aka when those rookie deals start to come up you are still paying on old Guentzel.

I just don't think a 1 year fix is going to fix the team at this point and they need to make smarter decisions going forward.
Signing Jake isn't it. They weren't looking like a playoff team with him here last year. I don't see how that changes now.
He's a good player just not a 9.5 million impact player.
That's the kind of money you pay for someone to lead their own line. Not ride on someone else line.
