    I can tell you right now Stamkos is not taking a pay cut unless it's to resign in Tampa Bay. No matter how long the term is.

    Hes getting a pay cut whether he likes it or not. Hes cooked 5v5 and is pretty much a PP merchant now. I dont many teams (including Tampa) give him more than 2 years at around 6m. This is an overpayment. He'd probably cost around 5-5.5m for a 4 year deal
