Description
This season was insanely great overall, everything went right. Not much of anything a Canucks fan could have asked for to happen that did not happen. With that out of the way, onto my overall thoughts:

1. Patrick Allvin and Jim Rutherford did a fantastic job all season. Almost every single move worked out fantastically. Hopefully they can bring this team a cup.

2. Brock Boeser finally had his year to silence haters. Could not be happier for him overall. Hopefully his blood clotting issues are minor and can be solved.

3. JT Miller showed everyone why he earned his contract. He is a phenomenal player and one of the best players in the entire NHL.

4. Rich Tocchet has been a phenomenal coach and brought this team up to their potential. He deserves the Jack Adams. With that being said he cannot be the guy to run the Powerplay next year.

5. Hughes had a phenomenal season deserving of the Norris trophy. He has solidified himself as a top 3 NHL dman. His playoffs were not great however.

6. Elias Pettersson has to be better. From the all star break onward, he was not the player he is supposed to be. I have 0 doubt that he will come back from it a much better player though.

7. One of the few criticisms I can offer to the management group was completely failing to get Pettersson that elite winger. Hoglander had a fantastic year but Pettersson needs to play with someone who can score. That should be the number 1 priority in the offseason.

8. Filip Hronek is not an 8 million dollar defenceman. This team cannot afford to pay him that and if it comes down to it they should move him well before considering that. It does leave a large hole on the Right Side though.

9. The Joshua-Lindholm/Blueger-Garland line was fantastic and the team should do everything they can to keep Joshua. Lindholm would also be ideal to keep but very dependant on price, loved his playoffs.

10. Nikita Zadorov has priced himself out of Vancouver. He had a solid season and a phenomenal playoffs but they cannot overpay him this offseason.

11. Ilya Mikheyev cannot be a top 6 winger on this team. I love Mikheyev, but he kills offence too much to be successful. I wouldn't hate him as a third liner but with Garland and Joshua, there is 0 fit for him in Vancouver.

12. I'd like this team to get a fourth line guy that can score. With Hoglanders bottom six minutes very likely over, they need a fourth liner that can score the odd goal. They had a lot of solid fourth liners defensively but they need that depth scoring.

Overall once again it was a phenomenal season, but they will need to be able to find more offence next year if they want any chance at being anything

To solve your final point, trade for Nick Dowd. He would be that perfect bottom 6 player for you

How much would Dowd cost? He could be a nice add to that 4th line

Player wise? I think they would want a young piece in return. Someone that just doesn't fit in Vancouver or someone that you are ready to move on from. Ideal I would say Podz, but I don't know how y'all feel about that

Well put!

Accurate, honest, insightful.

Re-signing Lindholm should be a priority if possible and Joshua almost mandatory.

I'm not in love with moving Podz as it feels like he brings more value to Van then he'd get in a trade but I will admit I'm probably bias on him. Anything picks wise enticing to Washington?
