If this is based on Marner signing long term with Nashville. This isn't a good enough package to get him. imo

Fair enough, in my opinion Marner is an elite forward and there are very few - if not - non-existent realistic returns out there where the Leafs win that trade; they will always be at a loss. With that being said, the Marner trade will happen more or less because of change being needed for the playoffs. The Maple Leafs get a shot in the playoffs with a top-3/5 goalie, and Marner gets a change of scenery.
