Description
I am not excepting tons of moves but those could work for me.

- I have a feeling Montréal will draft Zadina, a LW that could replace Pacioretty.
With Kreider on the block, the rangers could look to improve the team. Pacioretty would love to play for a new york team so I would bet he would sign long term with them.

- With De Haan out for the season, the money that will be needed for Tavares, Schlemko is signed for 3 years with good money.

- Plekanec has good pk and faceoff stats.

Agreed. Habs gave up a fifth-rounder for Schlemko and he has missed most of the year. Not sure his value has gone up at all.

That said, I like the Max deal, though I might try to sneak Pleks in there, drop the high pick and get Sean Day into the deal somehow.

NYR doesn't have the cap space. They may not be buyers at the deadline anyway. Even if they are I don’t see them giving away future pieces for a team that prob isn’t a cup contender. Though they might to give King Henry a shot at one.

I think they have to be buyers if they can be. I also think with Nash aging out and likely headed for UFA, and Kreider on the shelf for a while, bringing Max to his hometown team would help everyone. The only question is whether the Blueshirts have the prospects to make a deal work. Not sure. But Rangers have a projected $9.2M in salary that they could add at the deadline, so taking Max at $2.25M (half of $4.5M) and Pleks at $3M (half of $6M) should be simple enough.
