I would move Baertchi for a solid defenseman, rather than picks. Also I would bury Orpik in the minors. One question, why did we acquire Petterson from Nashville?

It's hard to gauge what other teams need and what that team would give up. If it's possible to get a solid Dman for Baertschi then it should be done for sure. Lol I thought people may get confused by trading for Pettersson. This one is actually Emil, Elias' older brother. He is having a sid year in the A and well with the Sedins on the verge of retirement it be nice to have some Swedish brotherly magic continue ?

That brotherly magic is Peterson and Dahlen. Close friends that had some great chemistry when they played together.

Funny thing about injuries, when players leave the west coast to the east coast where the travel is easier the players are less injured. Vancouver is one of the most injury riddled teams year in year out, they also have one of the longest and hardest travel schedules year in year out, coinsidence? I think not. Tanev would greatly improve that d corp in the 416
