I believe this would shore up the wings for the Oilers while adding very strong defensive-minded forwards with character (who can score), and a proven 30+ goal scorer in Patches to finally play with a talented C, whether that’s RNH OR Mcdavid.

Schlemko can be traded anywhere who would take him. A Habs mid round pick included of course.

Dreaming with Tavares, but as per the title....Why the hell not! In reality, you make the Draisaitl trade before free agency, and with a high draft pick who might be able to step in right away...we have a strong case to lure Tavares.

Oilers won't trade away our Malkin to our Crosby. But this team would be sick if you landed two good centres and actually had wingers to play with them (unlike Edmonton)

He’s correct. Drai aint leavin no matter what u give. Tavates takes 1 look at where the Canadiens are and passes.

Our friend clearly missed one thing: once the Isles comes to term with JT not re-signing, they'll take a 2nd rounder or a prospect (Joni Ikonen?) for the negotiating rights.

Draisaitl won't be an Oiler next season. He's poison on that team and is the main reason the team isn't closing in on 100 points. The chemistry in the dressing room is awful and it dates back to a bar fight that he got into the Nurse back in October. Draisaitl missed four games with a mysterious concussion. Check it out. Everyone in the hockey world knows this and it's the main reason Chiarelli is only getting so-so offers for either of them.
