That must’ve been offered before Dom saw that Hanzal went down for the year because Hanzal right now brings that trade value down. I can see that idea since Spezza’s contract’s way bigger than Neuvirth’s, and the Flyers have the space, so y not?

Probably. LHDs are huge lacking part of this team for after that kind of trade.

Not horrible, but I'm not understanding the fascination with people wanting to trade away big pieces of our future (Lindell) for production that we can get on the FA market. I'd rather get JVR at $7.5M for 6-years than have Pacioretty for only 2 years at $4.5M AND have to give up one of our better young defensemen. I'm fine with the other trades, although the Stars are likely going to have to eat half of Spezza's salary to move him. Stastny I'm indifferent about. If we sign him, I think it's a solid addition to our 2nd line. If we don't, we save $5M and Janmark slots back into his natural Center position between Nuke and (hopefully) JVR. That leaves a really good checking line with Shore, Faksa, and Pitlick. And then rounding out the 12 forwards would be Elie, Dickinson, and Smith. All in all that's a very formidable 4 lines, we have tons of cap space to let Nill do with what he pleases, and we get to keep our young defensive core in tact.

Like I said, it's not a terrible scenario, but there are a few unnecessary moves that can be addressed via other channels.
