Description
Snow Fired, New GM brought in that actually wants to improve the team

Was brought up that on Sirius NHL today that the Isles would be a perfect spot for Karlsson, they just needed a competent GM to make it happen.

Berglund trade is obviously to relieve cap, Ladd has a worse contract hence the draft picks added. I think this trade works as the Blues need more depth scoring while the Isles need more depth defense. Yes, I get Berglund has more goals than Ladd this year but Ladd is on a bad slump this year. (Ladd's shooting 2% below his career average and Berglund's shooting 3% above his)

Korpisalo trade is similar to Mrazek's. He's had a rough year but I think he has immense talent and is definitely a guy the Isles should gamble on. He's going to be stuck behind Bob for at least another 5 years if he stays so why not get something for him while you can.

Nicholas Halloran is currently a sophmore at Colorado College. He had 45 points in 37 games this year. Very quick, good shot, better passer. Think if the Isles could sign him he'd be a great, cheap 3rd line winger for Bellows.

That Columbus trade is awful! That trade isn’t even close to the Mrazek trade. You’ll need to at least add a first round pick because of how much younger Korpisalo is compared to Mrazek.

Also Bellows is going to start in the AHL next year. His foot speed isn’t fast enoughy for the NHL yet.

I have to say I think the other trades are good. The karlsson trade works.

Overall not very good. Sorry.

lol what? Mrazek is 26 and Korpisalo is about to be 24. Mrazek's played 183 NHL games compared to Korpisalo's 63 so I'm not really following your logic.

Exactly my point...... you don’t get a 24 year old future number one for a fourth and a third...... go sign Mrazek cuz you love him so much.... also that trade for Philadelphia was a huge steal and they got a player who admittedly wanted out if Detroit and was going to leave after the season, so Detroit wanted to get something for him.

That literally couldn't have differed your point any more than it did. A young goalie with a ton more experience that Philly hoped to be their future #1 got traded for a conditional 3rd and a conditional 4th. And you do realize youre gonna have the same problem with Korpisalo right? He's gonna wanna leave too stuck behind Bobrovsky lol and its not like his past 2 seasons have helped his trade value at all.

Yes, I know that but honestly I think Bobrovsky is traded before Korpisalo. Also he hasn’t asked to be traded yet, that I know of. Also I’d bet that another team makes a better offering then a third and a fourth. Calgary, Buffalo, Detroit, and St Louis just to name a few and I’m guessing they offer more.

Back to trading Bobrovsky, both have two years on their contracts and if Bobrovsky struggles in the playoffs again he’ll be moved and they’ll let Korpisalo run as the starter.
