I think Smith, Boqvist, Wahlstrom and Farabee aren't ready. Boqvist wasn't playing in the SHL this year meaning he'll need to play pro at least one year. Wahlstrom and Farabee are commited to the NCAA and Smith will probably takes the same time as Bean, I actually think they're the same kind of prospect. On the other hand, I think a guy like Kotkaniemi could potentially start the season in the NHL before being send in the AHL. I really see a Rantanen kinda player in him.

Boqvist is ready. Sweden’s leagues don’t work like that

I was meaning that he'll need one more year to develop playing in a pro league that is not the NHL. Look at Heiskanen, he is probably one of the best 3 prospects of the NHL, all that because of one more year in the Liiga. Also, Boqvist hasn't played in the WJC this year, it would be more than great for his development to do it next year.

The SHL and Allsvenskan are technically the same league, ones just as high of pro hockey as the other. It’s his team that is bad, not him. There were lots of good Swedish defensemen other than Boqvist that were cut from Sweden’s team, they were heavily built on the defensive end.

He wasn't playing in the allsvenskan, he was playing in the superelite J20. Go see by yourself...
