Explain to me why Montreal would make the Anisimov trade? That is awful

None of these trades are realistic.

Montreal isn't going to give up a younger solidly offensive and great defensive center in Danault for an more expensive and older Anisimov. The addition of a 2nd to swap with a 3rd does nothing to move the trade either.

O'Reilly is one of the best centers in the league - I'm not sure why Buffalo would only want unproven Duclair + an assortment of picks that don't help them in the near future + a cap hit of Hossa's size.

I kind of like the Faulk deal, though I worry that giving away a recent NCAA signee sends the wrong message to other guys in that situation.
