Description
Overall - Make a couple solid additions to address weaknesses (goalie, wings), but keep the youth movement going.

JVR - Add secondary scoring, and some size. May have underpaid him a little (based on UFA prices)

Orpik/Grubauer - Take the Orpik cap hit so that the Caps can re-sign Carlson, and get Grubby to split time with Varly. Give the Caps a serviceable/cheap 7th/8th D, and a pick. Lower picks could be added, but I don't think it's worth dipping into 1st rounders. Orpik is a liability as he ages/slows down, but eating the remaining year is worth the goaltending. Also brings some playoff experience.

AHL - Give Meloche/Timmins tons of playing time and let them develop.

Anton Lindholm is signed next year on his ELC with the avs, unless you are thinking of another Lindholm....the one the Avs used in this trade is still part of the organization

I would be pretty happy about these moves. I would second guess playing Orpik..avs have the cap space to buy him out and still have a very competitive team with this roster.
Avs using themslevs a as a cap dump to get Grubs would be a good move
