Chucky for ROR is a close deal in and of itself. Add any of the other players you've mentioned and it's a very good deal for Buffalo. So now you're saying two players and a #1 pick for Scandella. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,

Although I'm not sure I like "that" particular trade suggestion, I think the elements in place are close to being accurate in a potential trade. If we assume that JT doesn't want to come to MTL, getting ROR & Statsny is a good consolation prize. Not to mention, the poster acquired two centers who are top2 C's on many teams in the NHL, without coughing up the #3 pick.

Buffalo wants good wingers now. They have Eichel and Middlestadt anchoring the top two lines for years to come. Turning ROR's 7.5M$ cap hit into a 30G scoring winger, a near ready prospect like Scherbak, and a good AHL goalie like Lindgren, AND a 1st round pick... I think BUF would look at this deal.

I think Hudon is the deal is excessive.

Where I think the deal needs tweeking is that if you take Scandella off that roster, they'll want another LHD to play there (unless they feel they can get DeHaan as a UFA).
