Why would the Sabres want to overpay Ottawa?

Why qualify Lehner to a golden parachute considering his bad tenure with the Sabres?

Who are you going to put in net behind Ullmark? Wilcox, sign some suitcase goalie.

And Hoffman is a sub 60 point scorer, giving up basically an early second round pick for him i'd take all day

Botterill would get my vote of manager of the year if he could get Hanifin and Skinner for O'Reilly and Reinhart, but let's presume he could
I like the Hoffman and Beaulieu trades.
Good job, IMO this team is MUCH better than the last year version. LW much better, Center is OK because Mittelstadt will be with the team all year, RW may be a bit weaker unless Nylander can perform. GK the same, Defense much improved with Hanifin and Dahlin.
