Take out Tanev, Methot, and both 2nd's and it looks good from a Dallas perspective and should look pretty enticing from Vancouver's perspective (though I will concede to a Canuck fan's thought on the matter). Leaves Dallas with this defense:

Lindell-Klingberg
Heiskanen-Johns
Methot-Heatherington
*Veteran 7th*

Once Methot leaves, Bayreuther slots into that 3rd pair with Heatherington.

Also worth noting that Wahlstrom won't be NHL ready immediately. It'll likely take a season or so for him to be pro ready.

I like the concept of the trade, and I'd love to see Dallas slide into that 7th spot, but I think the trade needs just a little bit of tweaking in order to make it viable for both sides.

canucks arent looking to move that pick, also the return isnt too bad but i still think they can get something better with that pick
