Description
Trade Explanations-
Carolina get a top line or second line center that will help them tremendously...the cost of ROR will be Noah Hanifin. The Sabres also send Beaulieu to CAR to replace Hanifin if the other young prospect are not ready. Since ROR plays a more valuable game, Carolina sends a 2nd round pick

The Blackhawks will try to make at least 1 more run and the players sent will help that. Bogosian can play a valuable game if he is not hurt and with half his salary retained it is easy to take him in. Girgensons is a bottom line role player who has upside if playing with the right players and he comes at a very reasonable price. the blackhawks also receive Justin Bailey who will play for a roster spot and a 2nd round pick and 2019 4th round pick.. The blackhawks send the rights for Anthony Duclair who had previous chemistry with Reinhart, Nashvilles 1st round pick and a 3rd round pick.

The Islanders trade to get their starting goaltender in Robin Lehner. The Sabres add the NSH 1st round pick and the Islanders give up Calgary's 1st round pick in order to get thier starting goalie.

Washington is in a cap crunch and with valuable players to sign like Carlson, Wilson, Boyd, Kempny, Bowey, etc., cap space needs to be cleared. To clear some cap space, the Caps send Burakovsky to the Sabres. the Sabres also receive a top prospect and the rights for Philip Grubauer who will be the starting goalie. The price the Sabres have to pay is steep, but worth it for the return. The Sabres give up Johan Larsson and Calgarys 1st round pick (12th overall) which the Caps will be able to draft a high profile prospect which they lack.

The only thing I see wrong (maybe just in my eyes), is would Hanafin sign a 5x5? Seems low to me but that maybe just me. Carolina gets what they need and gives up yeah a good dman but they’re dcore is already stacked. Seems fair to me

CAR is hard up for a 1st line Center which is what ROR would be for them.. I think they jump at ROR for Hanafin 1 for 1
