Chances are still high that Lou is able to retain Tavares, that Poile is true to his word, and that the Tanev to Leafs rumors will never come to fruition. But perhaps bringing in child-hood friend and Norris nominee PK Subban could convince JT to take what would likely be a discount in order to play in Toronto.

The Leafs take advantage of organizational depth in order to make moves for three home town players who fill major holes/needs.
