    While the Car trade is arguably fair, don't see the Canes giving up the #2 pick especially for going that far back in the draft.

    you very well might be right, I don't understand their urgency to offload Faulk but if they really want him gone then you can look at it as Faulk for a 2nd and Puljujarvi (who they reportedly covet very much) and then a first next year in an apparently deeper draft in exchange for dropping back two spots. If they don't want to do that then I would take out the Oiler 1sts and offer them Puljujarvi the second and maybe a second tier prospect like Bear for Faulk and then give Ottawa, (who is without a first next year), or Montreal the offer of next years first in exchange for moving back and then take Tkachuk or Zadina.
