Some deals and line selection I like, but some I don't really understand. Brouwer and Ennis is good to keep them in the composition, one of them even more in the top 6? Everything else looks good, the first link is good.

Brouwer has a little chemistry with Bennett. Brouwer also gives Mittelstadt a veteran winger to learn from on the ice. Both Brouwer and Bennett have struggled, but we know both have talent. Give them a modern top 6 center and see if they sink or if they are able to swim. Same with Ennis. Ennis played 73 games last year, nearly a full season. Now give him some talented wingers, and put him in Housley's system (a system made for players like him) and see if he can get back to the player he was. If Ennis fails, his contract is over at the end of the year. If Brouwer fails he only has a year left. Neither bother the Sabres. But both have potential to help them. They also have roster depth to find a perfect line composition, if these do not work.

Not bad, although I have a hard time seeing this team being any better than our past few years.

1st Line has a serious production question mark in Coyle
2nd Line is rather weak, Bennett and Mittelstadt have huge potential but Brouwer makes that line more fitted to be a 3rd line
3rd Line is a grinder a buyout candidate and an ok player, not exactly reassuring.
4th Line is a good 4th line

So I'd pass but this isn't a terrible overall proposal, just kind of lack luster in its results
