My feeling was that after Zadina fell to them, that they should have found a way to trade with Edmonton to snag Evan Bouchard. You can mix and match the picks to work since even if you trade 30th, chances are, Veleno is still there at 33.

As pleased as the Oilers were when Zadina fell to them, the Oilers could see that Bouchard or another highly rated Dmen were going to fall them them. Just don't think Oilers were be interested at all in giving up that pick, since a puck moving Dman was the # 1 priority for the Oilers. Not saying your trade is unfair, just that it would delay a year the goal of the Oilers to get better.
