Hamonic Cost way more than a back up and a salary dump. My advice is see what cal had to give up to get him and go from there

That would be a bad trade for Calgary. After just moving their top right hand shot D-man in Hamilton, I can't see them taking out the 2nd pairing guy also! If any D was to be traded, they'd want an upgrade on offense coming back... not 29 year old 12 point guy Matt Martin. McBackup is not as good as Gillies OR Rittich and is actually a Calgary re-tread from years gone by. To top it off they're giving up an earlier 3rd round pick for one a year later? So when you exclude Matt Martin and McBackup (as they don't make the Flames better), Flames essentially trade Hamonic for a 2nd and a 5th... after giving up a 1st and 2 seconds for him just a year ago.
