Yea the Avs have all the leverage here, I actually think this is way too much. Guys no matter how good they are are never traded for top 5 picks as part of the deal. The 1st rounders stars are getting back are in the 20s usually. Check where buffalo is drafting for Kane and oreilly. Next year has more than just the 18% chance at jack Hughes. There's 4-5 more guys that are highly likely to be NHL stars. I'd offer the Ottawa pick, timmins and a B grade prospect at best. Move Barrie in a separate deal, there's scoring wingers to be had for a point producing RD. Ottawa is not going to get a much higher upside player than that Ottawa pick from anyone else, and the optics of the situation even values that pick higher.
