That Kane trade is hilarious, its likely fair but its completely stupid for TO. Its just not needed. The Leafs have the best offense in hockey already, why weaken the future of the defence by picking up a guy who's best hockey is behind him? He's moving into his 30's and if he loses a step, he will be absolute garbage.

I’d recommend taking the Pittsburgh approach: 2 elite centers, one great wing (Nylander/Marner) lots of young cost controlled skilled wings, trade for a great Dman/goalie
