Description
We have to make room for youth coming up in the AHL, also we will need to give more playing time to virtanen and mccann by sending them down to the AHL. We will not buyout burrows yet, higgens will be bought out. The Biggest F/A signing will be Loui Eriksson b/c he will play with the sedins. Lastly we will NEED to trade edler to make room for other defencemen coming up and current contracts. This is the most realistic roster i can imagine.

You gave an excellent reason for wanting to get rid of Elder. But isn't that the same reason why Detroit or probably no other team would want him? Detroit has more cap problems than Vancouver, so the trade doesn't seem likely. Hamhuis seems like a popular signing, but shouldn't the Canucks be moving away from him (someone younger?)

I think Edler will say no to waiving his NTC, he's a quiet guy who would have a hard time adjusting to a new locker room. I can't see them sending Jake down and risking him getting distracted and not taking hockey 100% seriously. Mccann is more mature that way.

I think hamhuis will be important to retain because of our 3 newbies hutton, pedan, tryamkin. Biega is a plug, Sbisa is a plug. Plus hammer will be on a discount deal more than likely. (anymore than 3.7 and i'll personally kick benning in the nads)
