Description
Ottawa needs a shake up. First off, the ownership needs to change. Heard a lot of rumours about different people and organizations being in on buying 50% of the Senators. To add to the management side of things, a new gm with a ton of experience would help the Senators to start the rebuilding. Lastly, Ottawa NEEDS a new rink. It's in the middle of nowhere and they got room to place a really nice rink within a 5 minute radius.

Karlsson, Stone and Duchane get traded for valuable assets for the long run.

Honestly, the contracts are not exact. I am just giving a range based on the years signed. The salary can change based on how long the are here for.

Now your probably wondering why the hell I have Quinn Hughes on the team. The name of the title is call "What SHOULD of happened", just to clear the air before you absolutely roast me (I don't care if you do anyway). Let's say Ottawa makes the bright choice and let's Colorado pick 4th in the 2018 draft. Then Ottawa trades Stone for Vancouver's pick to get Quinn Hughes. Now let's also assume that Ottawa does their best to tank for Jack, and they pull it off.

This is all what I think would help Ottawa get on track to start an actual good team. Hate if you want. I understand some contracts or even trades might be a little messy, but for the most part, it is pretty realistic.

Cheers.

Edmonton would have $17,400,000 to play with with Lucic still on the team in 2019-20, so let's say this will all go through, Edmonton would have roughly $5,000,000 to play with to re-sign Cam Talbot. Ottawa could also retain a small sum of Bobby Ryan's contract. Hope it clears things up.

vancouver rebuilding they pass easily not to mention buchnevich is a top 6 forward and is only 23 now so a 2nd will not suffice you are looking at a 1st and a top 9 forward with a prospect at the least because buch will be a 50+ this year and is perfect with nyr growing.

I see where your going with Vancouver being a rebuilding team, 100% agree. I just feel Vancouver is way ahead of Ottawa and Vancouvers management is a lot more "trust worthy" lol. I'm positive Mark could wait a year or two and have one of the strongest offensive and defensive team if Vancouver grows properly. Look at Skinner going to Buffalo, I can see it be the same concept. Now with Buchnevich, lets say Rangers don't sign him right away and he becomes a RFA. I can possibly see Rangers do that to see if they can get some draft picks out of him. Yes 3.5 million is really low, especially seeing the compensation would be a 2nd round pick, I would probably go for 5 million for a year but there's no way Ottawa would want to give away a 1st and a 3rd as compensation. Maybe you'd be right to make a trade for him.
