Jarry is young and a potential star goalie. Panthers have neither of those right now. Luongo has always been a star goalie and STILL IS but hes not playing right now, hes injured, a pattern now that hes older. Luongo is also really old and could retire at any moment especially with all his injuries. Reimer wont carry any team. Also sprong has succeeded at every level, at the top of the goals list in the AHL last year. He was also supposed to go higher in his draft but he dropped cause of his attitude. Maatta has always been good and projected to be really good but he just has bad foot speed which can be fixed with better conditioning. Sheahan is a great fast two way bottom 6 centre. Not to mention a first which can turn out to be a superstar with good drafting. Pittsburgh gets trochek in return. Pysyk is no gem and even if you think he is, no way he plays more minutes than schultz and letang on that right side. So pittsburgj is giving all that for just trochek

On top of what i already said, no team is going to give that much for just trochek. Hes not the best player at his position. Even if he was, still wouldnt get this good of a return. Just look at Hall, Karlsson, Kessel and even Luongo who were all traded for not enough in return and their all among the best at theur positions while trochek isnt

giving up way too much not only are you giving up sprong, the teams best trade chip, you're also giving up jarry who will be a good starter in the league eventually. as well as two good roster players and a first. not worth getting rid of our future for two decent players. Trocheck would be the 4th C . even if he plays RW he is still on the 4th line .
